She had a parasite in her intestines. The vet gave her flagyl which took it away. 3 weeks later she had diarrhea. They tested her feces but no parasite. The vet said to change her food. I now feed her Nutro for Seniors, no wet food, but she still has soft stools. She is 10 yrs old. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I am really worried about my 4 yr old chihuhua! She was coughing last week but that has passed. She threw up a few times and then she was fine. Now she has diarrhea and I noticed today that there is alot of blood in it. I did make a vet appt for her but I am sooo worried!! What could possibly cause this? I adopted her last month. I have all her papers and it shows she is fine and is up to date on her shots.

I adopted 2 kittens (same litter), they are 3 mos. old. They were wormed, had some starter vaccines given and were checked by a vet. They are both playful, active and have a good appetite. But the female (Lola) is having loose, light brown, VERY stinky bowel movements. Her brother (Dojo) is fine. We are going to the vet next week. I am aware that diarrhea is common in kittens, but would like to help her in the mean time. I have heard that rice and chicken helps, I have also heard that plain yogurt helps. Right now they are being fed canned food and IAM’s dry kitten food. Lola doesn’t appear to be feeling ill. Any suggestions?

Our 7week kitten has diarrhea and hasn’t been drink as much water as he should. We have been trying to give him a little bit of Pedialyte diluted with water. Someone told us that he could have parvo and that he is slightly dehydrated. I have also tried making him drink with a syringe but all he does is squirm around. He is currently eating hard cat food that is watered down. Please tell us what to do until we can take him to the vet.

Her diarrhea smells very stronge and is extremely mocousy. She seems to be sleepier than normal and kind of out of it. She doesn’t eat well to begin with, so I don’t know if she is loosing her appitite more. She did drink a little this morn, but not a lot. Are these signs of parvo? She hasn’t had the parvo vaccine. Should I take her to the vet?

My 5mth old puppy started having diarrhea this afternoon. I can not get her to the vet until tomorrow as they are not open till then. She is active wants to eat drink everything. She is still running around playing with my older dog.The only sign she is showing is the diarrhea. I am just worried she might get more sick before morning. Any suggestions?

I have abdominal pain that is centered in the navel area and mildly radiates to the left side and when my cat (who weighs 14 pounds, and yes kitty is overweight and currently on diet food supervised by a vet) sits on my abdomen the pain goes away. Does anyone have any idea of what may be causing this pain?? Does anyone out there experience the same thing??

My bunny has diarrhea and we are experincing very bad weather I am not able to take him to the vet. This is urgent, and I need to know if there is something I can do.

My 9month old bichon got neutered 2 days ago. He has been having diarrhea ever since, first time it was yellow now its brown liquidly diarrhea. He was eating normally yesterday but continued with the diarrhea. Now this morning he started throwing up, he’s thrown up a few times now. I’ve been told by the vet not to feed him anything but ice cubes and rice. I just want to know if anyone has experienced this with their dog after neutering. Thanks.
