The Vet has seen him twice, put him on 2 different antibiotics. While taking the antibiotics, the diarrhea subsides, only to return 36 hours after stopping the medication. The puppy is a Rottweiler, about 13 weeks old, and has been tested for Parvo. We’re worried about him because he is on special food that is gentle for the intestinal system as well, though nothing seems to be working. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My dog gave birth to her puppies a week ago, and she still has diarrhea. We went to the vet the day after the delivery, and he said she looked fine. Now, it’s a week later and she is eating and drinking okay, but I don’t know if I should take her back to the vet.

I took my 13 week old kitten to the vet on Saturday for his booster vaccination and the vet also gave him his rabies shot. He has had a bit of diarrhea since Saturday afternoon. He is not sick in any other way, he still plays and eats and does all the normal kitten things. I wouldn’t say that he has diarrhea but his stools are definately loose. Is this normal?

Having colonoscopy today and doing research on Giardia (parasite). I had picked up a cat off the road, thinking he was hit.I took him to the vet and they put him to sleep. Was just wondering If I may of caught this? Worried…Thank you.

About two weeks ago, my dog had diarrhea in the middle of the night, all over the floor. We figured he just ate something he shouldn’t and thought nothing more of it. The week after that, we went on vacation, and his poops firmed up – no more diarrhea. Well, ever since we got back from vacation, he’s been having diarrhea on the floor every night.

He’s a one-year old Pitbull/Lab mix, and eats both canned and dry Canidae. His food has not recently changed, and he’s always been fed some canned, so I don’t think it’s the food causing a problem.

He’s also given a heartworm, flea, and tick preventative monthly (TriHeart and Frontline), and got that on the 30th of June. He had a vet appt early in June and is up to date on all his shots.

He’s a fully indoor dog, and only goes out in our fenced yard, and we have not seen him eating anything he shouldn’t out there.

His diarrhea is not bloody, but it is very watery-like. He has not vomited. What could be causing his diarrhea?
I also thought it was odd that he started having diarrhea before we left on vacation, but his poops were nice and firm while we were there… I’d almost think that from the ‘stress’ of driving for twelve hours then staying in a brand new place would cause diarrhea, but there was no problems while we were there, it’s only just started again once we got home.

Could our water maybe be causing his diarrhea? Albeit neither the cat nor anyone else has had any diarrhea.

My Cat has been sick the past few days. He’s outside 90% of the time and it’s been chilly lately which I think got him sick. He won’t use a litter box anymore so I have no choice but to let him out.

I won’t be able to take him to the Vet for a couple of weeks. A friend recommended wrapping an Immodium in some lunch meat to get rid of his diarrhea. So I did. But, what can I do about his runny nose and sneezing?

Our cat had a urinary blockage a few months back and at our vet’s suggestion we purchased Purina One’s Urinary Tract Health Formula. This took care of his strained (sometimes non-existent) urination, but he has now developed fairly frequent diarrhea. He doesn’t exhibit any other signs of distress/illness, so I’m fairly convinced that this isn’t the sign of something more serious. I’m wondering how serious the diarrhea itself is and if there’s anything simple we can do to treat it. I have considered switching the food, which I’ll try after this batch runs out. Thanks in advance!
This isn’t the recalled food. It’s dry food, and to the best of my knowledge, the recall is for wet food only. Plus, the Purina One brand wasn’t affected. Thanks for the answer though.

My 11 week old puppy had normal stools until after it rained and she possibly drank some water in a pot. She hasn’t had a change in her food or anything new introduced to her. It has been two days she has had diarrhea. She’s still very playful and happy. She doesn’t seem sick, tomorrow she get’s her second set of shots should I make a separate appointment to see the Vet?

Last night my girl woke us up in the middle of the night for a potty break. My mom went down with her and came up saying Kiley had diarrhea. This morning my dad went down and he told me in a note on my door that she had diarrhea all over her crate. They left some on the back deck for me to look at (i always inspect runny poo for blood, objects, etc because they refuse to do it) and i noticed that there were two discolored spots (darker than the rest… maybe blood?) It was also very watery and grainy if that makes sense. She’s had diarrhea once more about half an hour ago (no discoloration, watery, grainy) and has peed three times (large puddles) since about 7 this morning.

She was spayed on Friday morning (past Friday), her incision looks normal and healing well. She was more rambunctious the past few days and i took her for two short walks yesterday to expel energy.

We did change her food to Canidae and she picked old food out of new and ate the new. No new treats.
I am calling the vet after class to ask them but was wondering is anyone had any suggestions as to what it could be while i wait for class to get out. The change of food? Maybe she was too energetic yesterday?

She does not have access to plants (and does not eat grass or flowers in yard.) She does not have access to any objects she can swallow or chew pieces off of. She does not get human food any more. She has not been around other dogs OR dog poop.
Don’t know if this relates but she’s had this before – the vet told us it was either mushrooms or her food (it went away after we mowed lawn and changed food, so i don’t know which it was.)

We fed her rice and chicken and the vet had us give her Kaopectate then, the only problem with feeding her the rice is she’ll stop eating the kibble again. We just got her to START eating it lol.
She didn’t eat anything while at the vets last Friday morning to Saturday morning. Her stool had been fine up until last night – nice and formed and no blood.

She is drinking water and i try to feed her small amounts but she only seems to want to eat at night and ignores any other food i put down during the day usually (i posted a question about that as well.)
