For about a week now, my ferret has had diarrhea. I’ve tried searching online, but he has no other symptoms of any disease except for the diarrhea. He’s acting normal, eating and drinking normally, and otherwise seems healthy.
He was, however, on antibiotics up until a week ago. Is it possible that the antibiotics caused this? I’m planning to take him to the vet since it hasn’t gone away, but I just was wondering if this could be just nothing and I’m overreacting.
Recently found a stray and took her to the vet. She had worms and diarrhea, I guess caused by the worms and her anus was really sore and it looked really bad. Vet gave me some medicine for her to intake 2 times a day for 7 days. Her poop looks a bit more solid but her anus looks a little watery and pink. Is this normal for my cat to be healing this way?
I adopted this dog in the early summer and nearly every month he has an "episode" where he wakes me up in the middle of the night vomiting and having diarrhea. It’s gone in a day or so, after that. He eats sensitive stomach food and he gets very few table scraps. He’s going to the vet on Saturday, but I would like to get the Community’s point of view.
My puppy is about 7.5 months, and has had mild diarrhea for the past few days. I am taking him to the vet, but I wanted to know if this is normal, as a signal to switch from puppy chow to a more mature mix….
I just checked on them both and my male common rat has diarrhea but my hairless rat doesn’t. It can’t be anything they ate i’ve been giving them both the same food Oxbow Regal Rat along with apple slices as treats sparingly. I don’t know if he just got an upset stomach but he did make little squealing noises in the night. I think i’ll give my vet a call.
I feed him the same thing everyday. I even use his dog food as training treats so he has a very basic diet, no dog treats or anything. He is up to date on vaccines, but he gets diarrhea I feel like every other month and I have no idea why. It goes away pretty quick and he doesn’t act sick, there is no blood in it ever. I have read yorkies have sensitive stomachs but is this normal?
I have called the vet and by the time I get an appt. the diarrhea is gone! They haven’t seemed concerned when I call.
He has had diarrhea for four days. How long should I wait until he sees a vet? Any home remidies or advice?
I gave them a packet of wet food on Friday, and ever since they have both had diarrhea… Is it from the food, or could have my cats caught some sort of cold? They are both indoor cats…
And don’t worry, I will take them to the vet if the problem continues.. I’m very surprised this hasn’t cleared up.
Thanks
Can someone suggest a good wet food? The wet food I gave them on Friday was just some cheap friskys stuff that my little sister bought for them.
Also, they are still acting very normal… running around and playing as usual.. drinking water, eating, etc.
I took her to the vet and they prescribed her meds for the tapeworm. She vomitted last night a few times and that stopped. Now she has diarrhea and doesn’t want to eat. BTW she is 9-10 months old. She is updated on her vaccinations as well. Help my Juno…she is a chi-poo 6.8lbs.
I have golden retriever, which as well as three other dogs I have, I keep outside. He has been having an ongoing problem with diarrhea even though he is on the same diet as my other dogs, who aren’t having that problem. What might be causing that, and what are the best remedies ( without going to a vet and spending hundreds of $s) to alleviate or cure that?
