So the doctors say I have a bowel syndrome or constipation..but is it even possible to have constipation for 4 years? So if you don’t know what bowel syndrome is..its a disorder that affects the colon. It normally causes diarrhea, bloating and constipation. It’s horrible..I’m in a lot of pain because of it..I’m home schooled because of it. The doctors and my mom say its all in my head and that it’s my fault I’m in pain..I know that stress and stuff can cause this..but it’s not my fault I’m stressed out. So is there anything I can do to fix this?? I hate it so much..If I go to church it hurts like crazy..and when I would go to school it would hurt really bad too. So I don’t go to church anymore and I can’t go to high school.

last month i was diagnosed with ibs and its nothing fun at all. one week it will be bloating of stomach and hard stools. also feeling of constipated. the next week my stools will be normal and everything back to normal but then i also get pains in abdomen and increased gas. also if i do have good bowel movement i have feeling of incomplete bowels like still have to pass more or some still in rectum?w im 28 male 182 pounds. blood work done and urine test.

My stomach has been acting very weird lately. About a year ago, my appetite has gotten smaller. I’ve been eating smaller and smaller meals ever since. There have been times where my appetite seems to go back up, but then just a few days ago, after Thanksgiving, my stomach feels cramped, full, and less bigger. I have been drinking nothing but water and a little juice now. I’ve tried eating a little few things, but it always feels like I’m stuffed, even kinda nauseous.

Do I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome? I’ve done some research on this and the symptoms seem to fit some of the things I’m feeling.

I was diagnosed about 6 years ago with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I have been able to keep it under control, but in the past 3-4 months, my stomach has been acting up, either constipated or constant diarrhea. I have not had a checkup for my IBS in quite a while, just never deemed it necessary. Now I have been feeling nauseous every morning and evening, not really wanting to eat anything and dry heaving. I have been constantly running low grade fevers that spike around 101 briefly, and then I end up sweating it out. It’s not so severe that I want to run into the ER, I was just wondering if anyone else with IBS has ever run into this problem or if the disease progressed into Chrohn’s or Colitis. Only serious answers please. Rude answers will be reported.

Because my doctor thinks that I have it since I have been bloated/gassy more often and been. cramping.Been going on for 8 months now and hasn’t stopped at all. I didn’t feel bloated or stomach feeling kinda weird until I got home from having a grilled chicken caeser salad from Panera bread. So how do you get irritable bowel syndrome?? Give me opinions please on what causes it and if I even have it. Please no stupid answers.
Norton I have been bloated for 8 months now and 2 of my doctors say they think that I could have irritable bowel syndrome and sent me to a gas place so I think they know too. They are ob/guns so they should know a little bit about what goes wrong inside of me. So its just not just the salad this has been going on for 8 months!!!!

The title is self-explanatory. :P

I have been having some problems for the last 2 years and I have been to several doctors about it. They have done several tests and since they didn’t find anything they just through out Irritable Bowel Syndrome as the cause. I’m not saying that its not that but I did hear from a friend that the symptoms I have been having could be the first signs of Ovarian cancer. I have no idea.

Symptoms: Bloating, gas, always tired, bloody stool, cramping, pain in lower abdomen and back, fluctuating between constipation and diarrhea, and I have always had irregular periods which are regulated by birth control.

There is also family history of bowel problems and ovarian cancer.

Hi, i am 13 years old. For the last few days i have not been feeling the best. I have a lot of gas and keep burping really smelly, bad tasting burps, kinda like rotten eggs.( I burp about 20-50 times an hour and pass gas a lot too.) I have had diarrhea a lot too. My lower stomach hurts too. i can hear it gurgling and sloshing around all the time. i have a loss of appetite. i googled it and the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome sounded correct. any other ideas or suggestions on what this is and how to cure it. I really want help. Thanks Sarah

I don’t like how me having digestive issues as a result of stress HAS TO MEAN irritable bowel syndrome. Thing that scares me is the statistics, most people who get IBS (90%) have SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) and causes for THAT are just awful other than lactose intolerance and diabetes, I have neither (been checked) cause I told you this only presents when I am stressed. Other reasons for SIBO are AIDS, Chron’s.. So obviously this means that i have had SIBO all along ?? and there is some medical problem with me cause a healthy person wouldn’t usually get IBS related to stress without a real problem? I’m crying right now, please just talk to me. 90% I mean friggen really? I just got back from my physical and was all good ..
