I am currently 4 and a bit weeks pregnant and have been getting stomach cramps for the last 4 weeks, it is tolerable…similar to menstrual pains. I have also experienced the last couple of days a bout of diarrhea which prior to opening my bowels has caused stomach pains but afterwards, it’s all fine. My doc has suggested an ultrasound at 6 weeks as he says that getting an earlier scan will not see anything.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?
I know this is gross, but i’ve had diarrhea for the past 4 days and in the morning/night it comes every 20 minutes, and i get these horrible stomach pains. How do i get rid of it?
I used to be able to sleep in pretty much until whatever time. Now every morning I’m up by 9am with stomach pains and diarrhea. Sometimes I have diarrhea 2-3 times every morning, does anyone know why this would happen?
I get bad stomach pains within minutes to an hour of eating anything and then I need the toilet really badly and when I go its always diarrhea. Its been going on for ages now. I think it might be IBS but I want to know what can be done about it.
For five years i have had joint pains. For last three months i have severe bloating and stomach pains. A stool (fecal) culture shows proteus mirabilis growth. I am due to see a gastro next week. I am worried that i have Crohns disease. But could the proteus mirabilis bugs be the cause ?
I am scared that this medicine won’t help. The medicine is Levsin and is supposed to help with my stomach pains. They think it is IBS. What happens if the meds dont work because it isnt IBS? Thanks…I’m scared it might be somethign serious. I have a follow up in 2 weeks.
I think what I have is Irritable Bowel Syndrome but I have been to several doctors and there guess is as good as mine. I stopped eating in the morning and don’t eat until 1pm or later and I have not had any problems with my stomach after that! I know not eating isn’t the best thing but it’s better than having an accident or killer stomach pains. Anyone else have this, not being able to eat in the morning?
Help? I have irritable bowel syndrome, which seems to be caused by certain foods, stress and anxiety. For those of you who have similar problems with almost out of nowhere stomach pains and diarrhea caused by this not so fun disorder, what do you do to help?
I know there’s no magic answer, but I can’t determine whether to put Sonny to sleep. He’s an 11-year-old orange tabby with Irritable Bowel Disorder (IBD). There’s no cure; basically he’s had diarrhea daily for almost 3 years. We’ve tried lots of things (not everything), but steroids, diet changes, antibiotics, etc. and nothing helps long term.
Lately he did really well with 9 Lives Tuna mixed with pumpkin – he actually had normal stools for the first time in years. But now he won’t eat that food anymore. His weight is down to 6.5 pounds (skin and bones) from original weight of 11.5 pounds.
For the past week he hasn’t felt well, and the IBD causes stomach pains before the diarrhea (and the diarrhea is painful too; if you’ve ever had it, you know). When I don’t feed him, he’s pain-free, but hungry and constantly begging for food/meowing/crying. It’s a vicious cycle. I have tried diet changes recently but they only add to the diarrhea.
He stopped playing with toys years ago.
