I’ve been having upper left abdominal pain for like 8 months and today my dr said that there aren’t any organs or anything in the spot where I am having pain and that it is probably just my fat pulling on the muscles that is causing inflammation and that is why I am hurting.

I have never heard of such a thing in my life. Have you?

[Yes I've posted this question before but I think in the wrong category]

I have a fairly flat stomach, but every time after I eat, my stomach bloats up and gives me a small pot belly. Then it reduces again with time and when I’m hungry again my tummy is flat again. It doesn’t hurt or anything, it’s just bloody annoying.

[Background]
I have a spastic colon.
I’m not allergic to anything that I know of.
When I was younger I did a lot more exercise so I used to have a flat tight stomach. But these muscles aren’t tight anymore due to me being lazy.
This happens WHENEVER and WHATEVER I eat. Not just certain foods. Nor does it matter how much I eat, although the more I eat, the more bloated.

If someone could please explain the theory behind this, why does it happen. And then a possible solution?

Thanks

I have chronic back pain and ibs constipation, i heard that doctors are prescribing cymbalta before i go to the doctor i want to make sure of the side effects. i know that doctors wont tell you about it.
cymbalt is a antidepresant but i have friends that they are taking cymbalta for back pain, ibs, migraine and other pain kind of pain. because it relaxes the muscles it helps with the pain also.

I have had a spastic colon for more than 8 years. I know what to eat and what not to even touch. My situation was controlled for some time but two months ago I woke up with a burning pain in and around my shoulder - almost inside my cartilage. I took blood tests for rheumatoid arthritis and the amount of acids in my system. Both were higher than normal but not really a danger. I am taking anti-inflammatory tablets but the pains have spread to my muscles. I am eating a balanced diet suggested by a dietician. I also exercise 5 days a week for an hour at a time but I am still gaining weight. I gained almost 15kg in 9 months. I am always bloated and suffer of heavy constipation, dizziness and fatigue. What is going on with me? Who should I see next? I have been to so many doctors and they keep on telling me it is my spastic colon! Could it be my thyroid? Please, any advice.

Many different doctors have told me over the past 8 years that I have a spastic colon. There are ulcers in stomach as well. I have had so many tests done, I go to the gym every day and eat a balanced, special diet but I’m still bloated every day and wake up every morning with a stomach ache. I do stress allot but go to yoga classes. This problem is almost poisoning my system and I get burning pains in my muscles. I’m desperate! Does anyone know if something else could cause such symptoms? Maybe I’m trying to fix a related condition and not the real problem!

Does anyone have any tips for getting rid of a ton of bloating during your period?? I have been taking pamprin and other pms stuff, but no luck. I am also drinking enough water. This is more bloating than i have had in a really long time!!
