My mom had a colonoscopy the first week of March. She got the flu a week later and was in bed for a week. Today she vomited all over herself and is really sick with flu-like symptoms. Could the doctor have done something to her during the colonoscopy or do you think this is completely unrelated?
ok so i have a bowel disorder/syndrome and im not really sure what it is.
and my mom is trying to avoid taking me to the doctors
and i don`t know why she just says it`s not that bad
it is that bad i get loose bowels constipation belly aches wind hot stomachs and its not nice and shes got me cereal bars with fibre and they don`t seem to be doing anything she got me some diocalm and latolouse but whenever i take the lactolouse for constipation it makes my bowels go to loose and when i take diocalm i don`t go for a few days im getting fed up with having to deal with it does anyone have any advice. Thanks.

on my moms side is small cases of the infamous IBS. now to help me the doctors have put me on 10mg of lexapro to try ad calm my nerves and my spastic colon. anyway lately i have been putting on weight im now up to 220 instead of my normal 190ish. I find it harder to breathe and now that i am on the medicine i feel backed up and just crappy in general. woohoo!!!! some times i feel like i have a crampsmall pressure in my sides right below my rib cage and sometimes i just feel real tired and wore out.

dad side- nothing except breast cancer on his mothers side which she died from
mom side- spastic colons and very minor depression
what the hell is wrong with me.
my daughter is almost 3yrs old and she has diarrhea, what should I give her to stop her up? she isn’t sick she just has cramping and diarrhea. Come on someone, Im a young mom and need some help.
thanks all good answers but i am going to give her plenty of fluids and feed her crackers and things to stop her up.
My mom is high on Demoral right now and keeps whining about how the RN told her she could have pancakes and eggs when the LVN told me that she needs to keep her eating light; soup and a sandwich. I don’t believe my mom, but just in case she is telling the truth, I would like to know what one can and cannot eat.
My mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer yesterday. We need to go see gyn oncologist to determine how far advanced the disease has progressed.
I’ve noticed my mom running to the restroom and having diarrhea after every meal. It’s not the food she eats. She’s been eating the same type of food for years, but for some reason, she’s been having diarrhea after meals for this past month.
Also, this morning, she complained about her big toe. She claimed that it felt like there were needles piercing the bottom of her toe. It’s not her shoe. She felt it in the morning in bed too. Why would that be?
So i woke up 6:00 am. and found my self having a major cramp or stomachache. i felt like i need to throw up. but after i had diarrhea. the urge to throw up went away. Whats the name of this virus i got? i want to know so i can tell my mom whats going on. and tell the doctors. im just 13 years old.
I had my exam around 2:30 pm yesterday and felt a little discomfort in the evening…had a few drinks out at dinner and then after going to bed, I woke up at 3 am with excruciating pain, I was soooo close to going to the emergency room. The reason I ask is cuz my mom said it’s totally normal, but the pain was on my lower right side, I felt like it had nothing to do with the exam. Anyone know what I’m talking about?
My entire family (husband, myself, two kids, my mom) have developed diarrhea in the past few days. It’s gotten pretty severe with my 4 year old who is going to the restroom every 30 minutes now, and has even had a few accidents. I was wondering if anyone else in Austin has experienced this these last few days?
