I lost the weigth from the last 6 to 8 months.I got stomach pain & frequent motion(3 times) .Actually i dont have any problem and i don know that i am losing weight for the first 4 months later all these problems began to happen. Now i am taking librax. i don have pain and i am still losing weight.
How worried should I be? Is there a concern of cancer or something else serious. Is anemia an issue. Blood tests show that.
blood is bright red in stool. Have a really sore throat and cramping.
I am a 25 year old female and I have had severe rectal bleeding in the past, so my dr ordered a colonoscopy, an upper gi endoscopy and a hida scan. I’m pretty nervous about what they might find… Any ideas?
I am quite aware that I need the procedures, I was just apprehensive. I don’t believe that “growing up” has anything to do with it Bobby. I will be sedatated as that is standard. Thanks for chastising me for asking for some insight into why a test that is normally reserved for those over 50 is being ordered on myself. I will be there with bells on because, yes, I do want to know what is going on.
However, my tests are two months away. As a “retired nurse” I would have thought that you would have grasped that concept Bobby.
I have one scheduled for next Thursday, I have been having terrible abdominal pain. They did an endoscopy and it was a breeze. I have never had one and am very, very frightened.
I’m 49. Do to strange things happening with my body I am going to have to get an endoscopy and colonosocopy along with an prostate exam!
Has anyone here had these procedures?
Will I gag with the endoscopy? Will I feel pain with the colonoscopy and prostate exam?
I fear. I don’t’ want any pain.
Hello, i am a 19 yr old young man that has always been decently healthy. I am 5 foot 10 inches and around 160 pounds. For about the last 6 months i have has some weird abdominal pain, It started out with an ache or pulled muscle type feeling (NOT CRAMPS) and from time to time it would go away for a week and them come back for a couple weeks then go away again. Went to the doctors and had a Upper GI and a Lower endoscopy done. They found nothing. I feel like the doctors think i am over reacting but its kinda scary cause now it feels like a dull feeling almost like something inside my stumic. The doctors said i shouldent be worried cause if it was cancer it would have killed me by now. But what should i do would a MRI or CT scan help cause maybe its not in the stumic but on the outside. So idk what should i do?
I started eating a gluten free diet about a week ago and I will be having a colonoscopy in a few weeks. I have not been diagnosed with a gluten intolerance but I think that is what I have. Should I start eating gluten the week before the colonoscopy? Also, I have read that an endoscopy can diagnose celiac disease. Can a colonoscopy also diagnose it?
I received notice in the mail yesterday with my appointment for my endoscopy/colonoscopy. I have to prepare for it one day and then have the procedure the next day. And they are putting me to sleep for it. Should I just prepare for it while I’m at work and only take the day off the for procedure? Or will I feel good enough to go to work the next day after the procedure? Anyone else go thru this and have any advice? Thanks in advance to all answers.
My son already had 3 stool tests and xray in the stomach and they didnt see anything. He is scheduled for colonoscopy and endoscopy. But what are the possible causes of his bloating and gas?
