During my colonoscopy preparation, I did the fasting and took the laxatives no problem, but drinking that 2 gallon mixture was horrible. How does all that liquid that you drink end up coming out through your colon and not just making you urinate, like when you drink a regular glass of water???

My cousin is having a colonoscopy tomorrow and today she drank the laxatives the doc instructed but she’s not too sure if she drank too much.She drank exactly 8 glasses of water with the solution in 4 hrs or 5. It should have been 2 to 3 hrs but she found out until now. Will she be okay?

she will be sedated. What should she do to prepare? What should she avoid?

A colonoscopy is basically a camera up your bum (for those who do not know). Do people normally shave their pubic area before having the procedure?

im having an upper gastro endoscopy tomorrow morning followed by a colonoscopy… i have opted to be sedated for the procedure but was wondering what i should expect with regards to pain and what will i feel of the procedure??

I’m having both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy this week, and I don’t know what to expect, will it hurt? How long does it take? Does the IV hurt, I’ve never had one?? I’m just a teenager, please answer, I’m really nervous!
