Hi im 23 going in for a colonoscopy prosdure done tomo… I woke this morning with a sore throat and a stuffy nose. do you think i can still have it done or should i call the office? They are thinking i may have chrons.. Is chrons something horrible like cancer?
Is prepping for a colonoscopy the same thing as colon cleansing? Can I use the same solutions to cleanse as I do to prep? It would be much easier to obtain and it seemingly would work much faster. Logic would say that the prep for a colonoscopy would completely clean out the colon just as a colon cleanse. So why is this apparently not the case with so many new colon cleansers that are hard to get and extremely expensive compared to the simple colonoscopy prep?

Has anyone has to take either the liquid or pill laxative that is required prior to a colonoscopy while breastfeeding? my doctor advised that I can continue breastfeeding during the prep, but not after the procedure due to the sedations meds….but i’m still concerned about the effects the laxative may have on my daughters system. I’ve decided to just use pumped milk, but I was wondering if anyone have any experience with this and how the baby reacted?
