someone told me that neither a colonoscopy or endoscopy examine the small intestine. Is this true, and if so, which procedure does examine the small intestine?

I was hoping to get some details on having a standard colonoscopy. What type of anesthesia is used? What is recovery like as far as time and restrictions?

My mom is going to have a colonoscopy this Tuesday. The doctor didn’t tell her anything about when or even how to take the medicine.
When does she need to start drinking it?
What else should she do or not do before the exam?

I just had a colonoscopy yesterday morning.

I am going for a colonoscopy on monday and have to drink this stuff on Sunday that cleans me out.I hear its pretty bad.Im told i can mix it with something to help the taste?Does anyone have a suggestion that works?

My 27 year old fiancee needs a colonoscopy. We have no insurance and low income. She was hospitalized for severe stomach problems for over a week and was told she needs a colonoscopy. We however cannot afford one, and she desperately needs one. What can we do? I will even make payments to a place if I can.

My husband is currently in the hospital and undergoing a colonoscopy tomorrow. He has to drink that laxative stuff that they give to prepare you for the next day. I know it will make him go to the bathroom but will it also make him tired? Thanks in advance.

My husband doctor ordered a colonoscopy exam with a general anethesia. He said that it is necessary because of air restriction… Can someone please explain more for the reasons why it is needed?

I need to have a routine colonoscopy but dread the prep, which I’m familiar with because I had it before my hysterectomy and it made me sick — I gagged for months just thinking about that drink. What are my alternatives? Which is the least horrible choice? And do I have the latitude to request it of my doctor? Thanks in advance for advice.
