My husband has severe issues with his bowel movements. I dont know if its IBS or just his diet or something more. He frequently has diareah (by freqently, I mean ALL the time) and other upset stomach issues.

I assume a colonoscopy is needed. How much does that cost, and does he have to have a referral to get one? We dont have insurance.
I dont really know the details about color or consistency or that stuff. His diet is poor, but not really worse than the next person. He doesnt use recreational drugs, and isnt on anything rx, but takes pepto or immodium at least once a day and tons of zantac. He has a hemoroid. He has pain with his bowel movents, but says he has a hemeroid and thats why its painful. This has gone on for years, but is at a point where I am demanding that he gets checked out. He says years ago (5 or 6 years I think) he got a stomach flu and has never been the same since.
He is 27. I dont know a whole lot about his medical history. He grew up without insurance and has never seen a doctor on a regular basis.
Get insurance? YEAH RIGHT. Insurance is a luxury. His company doesnt offer insurance and we cant afford to buy it on our own.. we’ve checked. Cancer taking our savings? lol, this apt alone is going to cause us to have to borrow money.

My dog has sever abdomonal pain. He cannot use his back legs now and is not eating. You cannot even touch his stomach without him yelping. He has had very very small bowel movements the last two days hardly any at all and now none at all. When I go to pick him up he pees on the floor. We took to vet had an x-ray no bowel obstruction. Spine is fine. One vet says look like tumor in stomach the other vet said no its just his intestines. What do I do. He is on pain meds for now.

I am scheduled for a colonoscopy next week. I am dreading the whole thing. I actual event will be anticlimactic, but the prep is terrible. 24 hours without solid food and I will have to drink a gallon of liquid and shallow 32 pills in two hours. Then comes 12 hours of constant bowel movements.

Is it as bad as they say? Stories?

For almost a week now I have been experiencing a somewhat frequent, piercing pain in my lower abdomen. Usually happens every hour or so, and builds up from dull to painful in a few seconds, then disappears entirely. When I say lower abdomen I do mean very low, near the groin. No problems urinating or having bowel movements. It is a very strange pain, anyone know?

I am nineteen and during every period I have blood clots. Usually they are kinda small but some periods I have gotten really big ones. Sometimes as big as oranges. I suffer really bad cramps and stay on the heating pad as much as possible. Before I was on birth control my cramps would make me throw up. Also, I get diarrhea every period. I go to the bathroom more than usual, but I’ve heard that during menstruation you have more bowel movements. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

It all started a week ago when I came home from school feeling extremely tired and gassy. Later that night I had some diarrhea. Now for the past 6 days I’ve been having diarrhea 3-4 times a day, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

A nurse I visited said it may be a virus and let it run its course but I feel I haven’t improved at all :*(. I also have almost no appetite and the diarrhea is making me lose weight (like 2 pounds) but I don’t want to lose any more weight, I would like my appetite back and my bowel movements to be normal again, what should I do?

I ask alot of questions on here, but I am trying to figure out whats going on with me. My right side always bothers me, yet it is nothing that causes me to double over. But a little more than half way up my right side about 4 in. below under arm I get a more constant pain, it does really hurt, but it feels like a constant pressure, it has been goin on for several several months, I have had liver, pancreas, kidneys, and gall bladder checked they are all normal. Sometimes it kinda feels like a flutter I guess, but Like I said its directly on my side. Also, in same spot the feeling seems to go into my back and then I have a tingly sensation into shoulder blade (right one) and it goes up to shoulder. I have red ON bowel movements, not in it. I do know I have hemorroids. I was also told about 15 years ago that I have a spastic colon, so I guess that explains why I go to the restroom alot. I DON’T have any nausea, nor do I have any weight loss. I eat just fine, unless I go into a panic or anxiety attack and then I lose my appetite. I have had two rounds of bloodwork in 9 months and they have all been good. Also had an hpylori and it was fine. Now I have 3 kids, they are all VERY busy, 9,8,4. Husband works but I try to do most everything around house to compensate for not working,. I have heartburn and it feels like my chest just wants to explode. I have had 3 ekgs done in 1 year and a half and also normal. I guess my fear is, Is that whatevers going on with me, is going to be unfixable and that is where my anxiety comes from. Please anyone if you can help, it would be appreciated. Whats going on with me.
.

I am 32. and also all paps have been normal also.
Have lots of Lower back pain. Like crampy feeling.

In a few weeks I’m going on vacation and I’m worried because my bowel movements are on a schedule pretty much, and when they get confused they cause gas issues and diarrhea. Any help or ideas how to prevent this?

I adopted 2 kittens (same litter), they are 3 mos. old. They were wormed, had some starter vaccines given and were checked by a vet. They are both playful, active and have a good appetite. But the female (Lola) is having loose, light brown, VERY stinky bowel movements. Her brother (Dojo) is fine. We are going to the vet next week. I am aware that diarrhea is common in kittens, but would like to help her in the mean time. I have heard that rice and chicken helps, I have also heard that plain yogurt helps. Right now they are being fed canned food and IAM’s dry kitten food. Lola doesn’t appear to be feeling ill. Any suggestions?

I have quite an extensive history of anxiety/panic disorder headlining with hypochondria. When I was 16 I started having heart palpitations and had an ECG for 24-hours with all tests positive. Years later, after my freshman year of college, I had symptoms that I THOUGHT resembled diabetis, but, again, inconclusive. Now, for the last month or so, I have been getting light-heading during bowel movements. I am not sure if this is in my head again or not. It is coinciding with my lack of sleep from a hectec work schedule, so I’m eithar thinking that it is my body reacting oddly to lack of sleep(unlikely), or my body’s reaction to excessive stress and anxiety(most likely). If anyone has an opinion that would be great.
