I’ve been feeling crampy pain a few times per hour for about 5 days now, in my abdomen. I also have a lot of lightheadedness, especially when I stand up. There has also been mild constipation. I called the doctor and couldn’t get an appointment until tomorrow. Can this wait until tomorrow or should I go to the emergency room today?

I never had sex, I am not on any birth control bills. I have brown discharge like Diarrhea coming out of the vagina liquid. Is this an infection. Do I have to be concerned about this to I have to rush to make a gyno appointment or is this just a clean out from my period that I had 2 weeks ago.
I have been experiencing severe abdominal pain due to my period. I went to a doctor a few days ago and had a very painful internal exam in which the doctor felt a lump. We did a cat scan and a ultrasound and found no ovarian cysts. I was checked for STDs a few months ago and it came back clean (no new partners since). She thought that maybe I was just having cramps, but three days later I am in a lot more pain which is now shooting down my leg in addition to my abdomen. I have had this pain before with my period, but now it is so intense that I can barely step down on my leg. I have an appointment on Friday, but I was just curious if anyone has experienced anything like this before? I’m so confused since the CT and ultrasound came back clean.
i asked a question a few days ago about they dr recomending a colonoscopy after finding a large mass… she thinks its colon cancer… ok my question is she refered me to a gastroligist how ever you spell that and now its a week later tomorrow is my appointment they said the first app whith him was just going to talk what does that mean is he going to want to poke me down there too?? and how long after the first app with him till i do the colonoscopy????
I know the liquid prep is best, but I tried it and failed miserably. It made me violently ill. I’d like to know exactly what I should be asking the doctor for prior to making the next appointment. Plus, I want to know if what I am asking for is even in the realm of possibility.
My 11 week old puppy had normal stools until after it rained and she possibly drank some water in a pot. She hasn’t had a change in her food or anything new introduced to her. It has been two days she has had diarrhea. She’s still very playful and happy. She doesn’t seem sick, tomorrow she get’s her second set of shots should I make a separate appointment to see the Vet?
I have been really sick for about a month, my stomach had been hurting really bad, I had been throwing up, had really bad diahrrea. Well my doctor concluded it was my Gall Bladder so I had it removed. It was attached to something. That was Wednesday the 7th. On Monday of this week I started to get really sick again. My stomach was so bad that I was curled up in a ball crying, I couldn’t move & I would get really sick if I had anything to eat or drink. I called my surgeon & couldn’t get ahold of him. Tuesday I felt a little better & actually managed to get ahold of my doctor & set up an appointment for yesterday (Thursday). I woke up yesterday & was in so much pain, it was worse than it has ever been so my doc decided that it was either Dumping Syndrome, an Ulcer, or Spastic Colon Well the scope he did today & the ultrasound & blood work showed nothing. So he is talking about having a doctor look at my sphinter (SP).
What did he rule out with the tests & scope? & Any ideas what it is?
My doctor is a spaz && doesn’t explain things very well.
Having a first colonoscopy is a very anxious and stressful time for many people. I had my first one (2/06) and felt like my doctor had not prepared me very well for what to expect. I have done much research since then and wish I had done more prior to my exam. I definately would not have been as stressed before as well as after my exam. I have since read that research has been done on this topic and it seems that different patients require different amounts of information. Some requiring a lot, while others would rather not know. I am one that wants to know. Anyway, for those of you who want to be better educated on a First Colonoscopy - please e-mail me. I found a website where you can watch a free 10 minute video on this subject. I think that once your doctor decides that you should have a colonoscopy and you have to make the appointment for one - they should sit you down to watch this dvd. I feel so strongly about this - I am planning to buy it for my doctor’s office 0.
I think I may have this but it’s going to be a while before I can get in to the doctor.
I get the abdominal pain really severe. Very frequent diarrea. Is this an emergency condition? Should I go to the hospital or wait the 3 weeks for the appointment?
I received notice in the mail yesterday with my appointment for my endoscopy/colonoscopy. I have to prepare for it one day and then have the procedure the next day. And they are putting me to sleep for it. Should I just prepare for it while I’m at work and only take the day off the for procedure? Or will I feel good enough to go to work the next day after the procedure? Anyone else go thru this and have any advice? Thanks in advance to all answers.
