I was frequently getting sick last year, and I got antibiotics a lot over time, which caused me to go the the bathroom a lot. I didn’t start having symptoms of IBS until I got sick a lot. So does antibiotics cause IBS?

…today my stool was a light greenish brown color. Im not longer on the antibiotics, i took the last one last saturday morning, the abdominal pain feels like i was doing sit ups with a combination of gas or something what could this be?
I have a severe sinus infection and I started taking antibiotics/claratin/and sudafid since Thursday like my doctor told me. My stomach has been in pain since then and I’m getting really bloated because of it. I can’t tell if it’s water weight because I’ve barley been able to eat for awhile from how much my stomach hurts. My father had a colonoscopy done last month and this past week a cat scan showed that he had developed diverticulitis. [he had unexplained abdominal pain on his left side] Since it was diagnosed, others that we know have said that it happened to them or someone that they know as well. Now, we are wondering how common it is.
He has been put on two different antibiotics for this condition and hopefully that will take care of it. The pain that he was in is much better already. Thank you all for your concern and your answers.
For about a week now, my ferret has had diarrhea. I’ve tried searching online, but he has no other symptoms of any disease except for the diarrhea. He’s acting normal, eating and drinking normally, and otherwise seems healthy.
He was, however, on antibiotics up until a week ago. Is it possible that the antibiotics caused this? I’m planning to take him to the vet since it hasn’t gone away, but I just was wondering if this could be just nothing and I’m overreacting.
I’ve had both procedures done. Would my specialist have seen a candida overgrowth if it exists? I have all of the symptoms and there seems to be no explanation! I know they CAN be seen, but would they necessarily?
It is still a possibility I have it?

They did take biopsies from both procedures (they were months ago) and nothing came back. Is it possible maybe they didn’t check for it?
I was in hospital for five days on an IV Drip of fluids and antibiotics. Although I had no solids for five days I am completely bloated and have gained 8Ibs?? I am drinking lots of water. Will this correct itself and is it usual??
