For about a week now, my ferret has had diarrhea. I’ve tried searching online, but he has no other symptoms of any disease except for the diarrhea. He’s acting normal, eating and drinking normally, and otherwise seems healthy.
He was, however, on antibiotics up until a week ago. Is it possible that the antibiotics caused this? I’m planning to take him to the vet since it hasn’t gone away, but I just was wondering if this could be just nothing and I’m overreacting.
I’ve had both procedures done. Would my specialist have seen a candida overgrowth if it exists? I have all of the symptoms and there seems to be no explanation! I know they CAN be seen, but would they necessarily?
It is still a possibility I have it?
I’ve had chronic sinus problems all my life and for the past 18 years have been on antibiotics at least twice a year!
They did take biopsies from both procedures (they were months ago) and nothing came back. Is it possible maybe they didn’t check for it?
I was in hospital for five days on an IV Drip of fluids and antibiotics. Although I had no solids for five days I am completely bloated and have gained 8Ibs?? I am drinking lots of water. Will this correct itself and is it usual??
I just started taking antibiotics about 3 days ago following minor surgery. Now I have terrible diarrhea! What do you recommend besides BRAT? I’m going out of town tomorrow and would rather not be glued to a toilet seat the whole time! ):
The Vet has seen him twice, put him on 2 different antibiotics. While taking the antibiotics, the diarrhea subsides, only to return 36 hours after stopping the medication. The puppy is a Rottweiler, about 13 weeks old, and has been tested for Parvo. We’re worried about him because he is on special food that is gentle for the intestinal system as well, though nothing seems to be working.
Over the last few days (since thursday) I have been experiencing pain in my lower right adominal region. The pain is not consistent..sometimes it doesnt hurt, other times it is dull, and then there are times it is a sharper pain. The pain also seems to "travel" on occasion along my right side up to under my rib cage. I have had a cold and ear infection (which is being treated for antibiotics). I am sexually active and am due for my period in a couple days but these pains are not typical of my menstrual cramps. A few days before this happened there was some blood when i had a bowel movement and have only had one bowel movement since then (it was fine) (Sorry for the details). I also have a loss of appetite and am not eating as much as I usually do. Any help would be appreciated I know I should see a doctor rather than asking Yahoo Answers but am away at school and the PA at the school is not the greatest in diagnosing people. Thanks….
Just a few more details…The blood was bright red with the stool. Also, Today the pain seems to be more concetrated on my right side under my rib cage.

My hubby has diabetes and drank Hypnotic and the next day he felt horrible, his headache went away but the diarrhea hasn’t. He’s taken pepto bismal and antibiotics and nothing helps. What could be wrong?
My toddler has diarrhea from his antibiotics that he is on for an ear infection, and the antibiotics give him really bad diarrhea that is causing an awful diaper rash. I have the rash handled (browned flour), but I am wondering what kinds of foods I can feed him that won’t make his diarrhea any worse. I know of yogurt, but he has had enough of that, he doesn’t seem to want any more. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I work at a daycare and today (or yesterday) one of my babies was sick. He had red diarrhea that was so bad that it came out of his diaper and dripped on the floor while he sat at the table. A nurse came in the room she said that it was blood. The baby had his shots a few days ago and he was put on antibiotics. What could have cause this?
