I have had chronic diarrhea for the past 2-3 years now, but it only happens about once a month at about the same time as my period. This did not happen when I became pregnant, but then it picked up again after I gave birth. Can diarrhea be caused by hormonal imbalances? If so, what can be done about it.

I’ve had "IBS" severely for years (previous colonoscopies have shown no evidence of colitis, but they were over 3 years ago), but now I think it could be colitis. I have reason to believe this because I’ve lost 65 lbs over the last year, 10 of which have been in the last 3 weeks. I’m now officially underweight, which has never happened to me. I’m not losing on purpose, it’s just that I’m often in so much abdominal pain that I cannot eat. After the painful cramps and diarrhea I had today, I went to the ER. They gave me pain meds, sent me home, and said to check with a doctor. I’m also weak and fatigued, recently getting spells of light-headedness.
The thing is, I have a summer full of trips planned, starting the third week in June! If I have a treatable condition like Crohn’s, I want to be on that med before I start flying all over the country! How can I get into a doc’s office and let him agree to scope me SOON?

I have been having pressure and pain in the abdominal area. Is there anyone that can help me. I have had a tubal 3 years ago but never had this problem. And I have been trying to get pregnant even though I have had a tubal.

She told me that low iron counts can be a sign of possible colon cancer, has anyone esle heard of this?

My iron couts have been decresing each year for the past 3 years.

I have recurrent pain in the site of where i had my appendix out some time ago, nearly 3 years ago. It feels like a stitch, it comes and goes, accompanied with slight abdominal swelling.

My dog is 3 years old, up to date on shots and heartworm preventive. She NEVER goes to the bathroom in the house, but while I was gone to work today, she urinated, vomited, and had diarrhea. She doesn’t appear to be ill, but that doesn’t mean anything I guess.

I have been having upper left abdominal pain for the past few months, night sweats. I was diagnosed with celiac disease almost 3 years ago. I also have hypothyroidism. I follow my gf diet diligently, any ideas as to what it could be would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

colon cleansing is advertised constantly on my local radio station, I go for a colonoscopy every 3 years will this show if I have a membrane that the cleansing is suppose to remove ???
read the question before passing judgement,,,I don"t go around looking for an enema

I am having a rough pregnancy. This is #4 and I am feeling really sick and uncomfortable. I was diagnosed with crohn’s disease 3 years ago and was told that I had hypothyroidism with my second pregnancy. throughout that pregnancy, my thryoid issue got better and for a while after that my thryoid was fine. Soon after I had my second child, I found out that I have crohn’s disease. In 2007, I had my 3rd child and had no issue with my thryoid. I am now 8 weeks pregnant with my 4th and was told that I have hypothyroidism. I had been experiencing symptoms of hypothyroidism a few months before I got pregnant again. I have been dealing with spastic colon, diarrhea, nausea, extreme fatigue, lightheadedness, and feeling extremely cold almost all the time. I am currently on levothyroxine for the hypothyroidism and am taking a prenatal vitamin. I am just looking for some advice or information on my situation or someone else who has dealt with this. I don’t have time to be going to the dr everyday. Has anyone been in this situation or are you dealing with it now?
I only want answers from people who actually want to help me. I don’t want just for someone to tell me that they have never been there or don’t know what I’m talking about. That is a little rude.

I’ve had some problems with my stomach for a few years now and think that I might have celiac disease. I had a colonoscopy 3 years ago and my intestines looked fined, so does that mean I don’t have celiac disease or would celiac disease not show up in a colonoscopy?
