Can running improve the symptoms of IBS?
For the last year and a half I have experienced soft narrow stools, and alternating constipation and diarreah. I started funning the last month, and since then my stools have been normal again, more bulky and hard. Can running influence the caliber of a person’s stool?
I don’t really know, but lucky you! I think you should try a gluten free diet. Celiac disease can cause both constipation and diarhea. I had alternating constipation diarrhea and it turned out to be that.
I have IBS and when I run, I seem to have more frequent bowel movements. If your stools are more bulky and hard, I have been told to eat more fiber, but that didn’t help me. I just have IBS constipation so I take laxitives. Good luck! I hope this helped a little.
