My rat has diarrhea all of a sudden what should i do?
I just checked on them both and my male common rat has diarrhea but my hairless rat doesn’t. It can’t be anything they ate i’ve been giving them both the same food Oxbow Regal Rat along with apple slices as treats sparingly. I don’t know if he just got an upset stomach but he did make little squealing noises in the night. I think i’ll give my vet a call.

hehe However, he could have just had a little too much of the fruits. Too many fruits and veggies can cause diarrhea in ratties, it’s very common. If I were you I would wait a day and see how he does before hopping on the vet bandwagon (that’s the first time I’ve needed to say that on Y!A, wow). He could have a little tummy ache from eating too much or whatnot. I certainly hope little man does better by tomorrow!
