What's the difference between a colonic and a colonoscopy? What are the procedures for each one?
Also, can you just go get one or does a doctor have to tell you to go get one??

A colonic is a fancy enema that rich people get to help them get rid of their extra money. No doctor required.
A colonoscopy is a medical procedure that is used for colon cancer screening, and diagnosis of many bowel-related illnesses. It is performed by a doctor, and you often need your primary doctor’s referral to get one. They are recommended for everyone over age 50 (younger if you have a family history of colon cancer.)
