How much time should I request off for work for an endoscopy/colonoscopy?
I received notice in the mail yesterday with my appointment for my endoscopy/colonoscopy. I have to prepare for it one day and then have the procedure the next day. And they are putting me to sleep for it. Should I just prepare for it while I’m at work and only take the day off the for procedure? Or will I feel good enough to go to work the next day after the procedure? Anyone else go thru this and have any advice? Thanks in advance to all answers.
You should only need the the day of the procedure off. You will need the rest of the day to sleep off the effects of sedation. You are not asleep. You will be lightly sedated and then given Versed which produces amnesia so you will forget everything.
I only needed the day of the procedure off. No after effects the day after.
No you should take thursday and friday off and have it done on fri and you will be ready for work monday good as gold
I had mine done on Friday, so u have the weekend off to recoup.
yes i did have one, i was gonna give you a dumb answer, but i won’t. it only lasts a half an hour then your done, and you feel like your same ol self the next day , k crumbcake?
