Can anyone answer this question about a colonoscopy?
If you overdose on laxatives (which is basically what they make you do) will the tip of your small intestine be inflamed for the colonoscopy the next day?

Having been awake (not sedated at all) during everyone of my colonoscopies, I can say I don’t recall the area by the cecum being particularly inflamed. My answer is no.
Not sure what you mean by the "tip of the small intestine." If you are referring to the portion of the small intestine that is closest to the stomach, then no, it is not inflamed by laxatives because laxatives work in the large intestine which is downstream from the small intestine.
