can a colonoscopy show if you have the membrane that colon cleansing is suppose to remove?
colon cleansing is advertised constantly on my local radio station, I go for a colonoscopy every 3 years will this show if I have a membrane that the cleansing is suppose to remove ???
read the question before passing judgement,,,I don"t go around looking for an enema
the body is really an amazing organ – as long as you have a good diet and drink plenty of liquids – esp water, you don’t need to go "cleaning out your system" we’re not a car. There is actually a lot of different things going on inside our bodies and doing colon cleansings can cause an inbalance in the natural state of affairs. We have certain "good" bacteria in our body doing what it’s supposed to do – you don’t want to wash them out! colon cleansing is just what the other guy said – a way to make a bunch of $ off of people.
there are some times a reason for what’s called a high colonic enema (basically what is advertised as a colon cleansing)- but that’s something that should only be done by a health care professional and only for certain reasons. they really aren’t the most fun thing in the world to go through – why anyone would to pay someone a bunch of $ to do that when it really isn’t necessary is beyond me.
Did the Dr. recommend you go in every 3 years? or is that something you decided to do?
added – I’m not sure who you think is passing judgment – I’m not seeing it – you asked about colonics – people are answering the question. I certainly wasn’t meaning too, I just think it’s a very unnecessary thing to do – why put something foreign into the body that isn’t needed and could do more harm.
Yes
In my opinion, "colon cleansing" is bogus.
"Colon cleansing" removes no membrane, because there is no such membrane. This is made up by people trying to sell you something. And I would be embarrassed to ask a real doctor "Hey did ya see that membrane they talk about in the infomercial?"
The colonoscopy will reveal all you need to know…. forget talk of any "membrane".
you’re probably thinking of a hymen, it is not up your bum to begin with and if you are a man you don’t have one anyways.
There is no evidence to support colonic irrigation in the fight against Ca or IBD (inflammatory bowel disease).
It is a procedure designed to pander to the neurotic and take substantial amounts of money from them…………
Best to have a good diet with plenty fibre which will naturally keep the faecal matter moving.
