Can a colonoscopy and prostate procedure be done at the same time?
I very much doubt that a colonoscopy and a prostate biopsy would be done at the same time.
A colonoscopy is done with a special anaesthetic that causes a combination of drowsyness and forgetting so even if you are semi awake you forget what has happened. Generally it is a painless procedure.
A prostate biopsy is done separately and requires a fully cooperative patient. I suggest doctors would be very reluctant to have both done together.
Having seen both done and having personally had both done I would prefer the colonoscopy to the prostate biopsy but a colonoscopy generally requires admission to a hospital even if for a very short time – less than a day and a prostate biopsy is just a procedure that you walk away from.

I thought that anesthesia was a given for a colonoscopy. If not, then I’m never having one!!!
Sorry, I don’t know about the prostate thing…
yes it could b done at the same time, but it’s 2 different procedures..
