I am a Republikan and I have my GERD from Hi Skool. I feel like I am very ejucated. Or do u tink dat democrats have more ejucation?

I have been on Nexium for 5 years for GERD. It really helps me alot and if I go off of it for more than 2 days, I get into alot of pain with hearburn and upset stomach. I am 30 years old and don’t really like relying on a drug like this. Are there any long term side effects to this drug?

I am a disabled veteran suffering from Barrets Eusphogus, Degenerative Disc Diseases, and vericose vein issues. Since June of 1992 I have been fighting to get help, get treatment (more than the what medicine do you want). I am only 30% disabled so I have to work as well, which I dont have a problem with. I recently also have Cellulitus, which stems from the vericose vein issues, and the barrets eusphogus is from the lack of treatment for GERD. They Veterans Administration has lost my medical records more times than I can remember. Yet nothing gets done about it.
I should explain I am physical more than 30% disabled, the VA says I am only 30%, I can barely walk, stand or sit for long periods of time. As I got an answer that I should be blessed to be only at 30%, I felt I needed to explain its not by choice I am at 30% when the VA doctors tell me I should not be working, I have no choice as I have many bills to pay most of them medical bills, and the fact the VA makes us pay for our medication even if it is service connected.

I really like spicy food but I have to blow my nose once or twice by the time dinner is over. my dad has this problem too…we don’t know what it is. I saw a similar post on this and someone mentioned GERD. I looked it over on wikipedia and doesn’t sound like those symptoms…any ideas?

I was diagnosed with gerd last week. I do not have heartburn, but a sore throat, caughing and my esaphogus is infmaled. How many of you have this problem? Is it common and what are your tricks with the disease? Any special comfort foods? What do you avoid that makes GERD worse. THank you for your time.

Can gas / gerd/ cause chest pain. When I take an antacid, pain goes away…

been diagnosed with gerd. dont like side effects of perscription meds. any home remedys out there that work. antacids dont work so well. feels like someone standing on my chest an chokeing me. get the heartburn too but not all the time. also can anxiety be a factor in this. i also try to watch what i eat.
