My Father just had his gallbladder removed and is now on a low fat diet.

He has always been a heavy coffee drinker. I’m wondering if he can continue to drink coffee and other caffeine since his gall bladder is now removed. Are they any side effects other than normal now?

And don’t be a smarta$$. My Grandma is in the hospital for a leaking Gallbladder, they put her on antibiotics and are going to remove her Gallbladder in a few weeks. How serious is a leaking Gallbladder? I tried Googling without much luck.
But they said due to her age, they don’t know how their going to remove it.

I’ve been having problems with my gallbladder. My doctor ordered me an ultrasound, and I’m waiting for the results. I’m wondering under what circumstances would a doctor want to remove someones gallbladder?

An ultra sound exam showed that my gallbladder contains several subcentimetre stones, and is thick walled (4mm) and tender. Also trace of free fluid in Morrison’s pouch.
IMPRESSION: Acute cholecystitis secondary to gall stones.

How severe and urgent is this condition and, is there any way other than surgery to solve the problem?

I had a good and bad week. I became ill with a nasty virus, and then had a sudden painful attack, caused by I know not what, which made me worry that I may have had a heart attack. I also discovered I have high blood pressure. On the up side, my ESR and CRP (measures of inflammation) are lower than ever and I seem to be able to manage off the contraceptive pill.

I had an ultrasound and it showed my gallbladder is 4x larger than it should be. The tech asked me if I ever have stomache aches or indegestion which I have daily. He said there were no stones but some sludge in the gb. He said I don’t fit the profile because I am very thin. I am thin because I can’t eat fatty foods without having extreme pain. I have had this for years. What does it usually mean?

Cranberry juice is drank to remove stones. I had my gallbladder removed because of stones and the gall bladder was not working (emptying) properly. Can I still drink it?
