What is in cherries that could cause bloating?
I have been having severe bloating lately off and on, and couldn’t figure out why. I have just figured out that it is happening after I eat cherries. I eat about 15 or so. Is there something in there that causes these sorts of problems? Or am I just allergic?
Cherries are very high in fibre……and it is the chemical reaction that occur ‘s after eating certain foods are the most common cause.
The most likely culprits are broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, onions, beans and certain fruits.
Because they contain complex carbohydrates, these foods are often incompletely digested in the stomach and small intestine…..after they arrive in the large intestine, they are broken down by the harmless bacteria that live there, and certain gases-carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and methane-are by-products of this bacterial actiont hey cause bloating.///so not an allergy, thanks goodness!
