How to stop bloating during pregnancy?
I’m 7 weeks and the bloating is unbearable. It’s making me feel so nauseous and I can’t even swallow anything without gagging. I tried taking gas relief pills, but it did nothing. Is there anything at all that will take the pressure away? I know drinking plenty of water will help, but it’s not helping enough. My stomach is literally stretched to the max right now.
Unfortunately it will probably get worse before it gets better as your uterus grows and presses on your intestines and stomach. But there are things you can do to try to make it better.
Eat right and drink plenty of water to avoid becoming constipated, which can aggravate bloating.
Opt for smaller meals that don’t overload your digestive system. Aim for six small meals a day, rather than three large ones.
Slow down. When you eat too quickly, you often swallow air, which can form gas pockets in your belly. Chew food thoroughly.
Try to relax. Tension can also cause you to swallow air, both during meals and during the day.
Avoid gassy foods such as cabbage, beans, fried foods, onions, or anything that affects your particular digestive tract in a painful or musical manner.
Make sure the water isn’t ICE COLD, try room temperature water. Good Luck
