Is it normal to have abdominal pain during pregnancy?
Im a little over three months pregnant and sometimes not often i get a dull pain in my stomach and lower stomach. Not like cramps but just a pain. I hear its common, has anyone else expirienced this? Ive never bled either so i dont think its a miscarriage. Also i get really bad back pain, sometimes i dont even like to walk and i cant even lay down unless its on a comfy bed. Help please?
Yes its normal.. stretching of the ligaments.
i had it with all my kids and it don’t get better with the more kids you have if it gets to bad you might want to go to the doctor good luck
Yes, the pain in the abdomen is expected and never goes away (at least that’s how it seems). It’s called round ligament pain and sometimes it feels dull and achy, while other times (especially with a sneeze or a cough) it is a sharp stabbing pain. It’s perfectly normal, just your ligaments stretching for your growing uterus.
Absolutely normal, pregnancy is full of little aches and pains. The pains are all down to stretch ligaments and a rapidly expanding uterus. Back pain is most likely either radiated pain, stress on your lower back from carrying the extra weight of pregnancy or even possibly from a strained muscle or ligament because everything goes a little soft and floppy during pregnancy to get your body ready for birth. Just don’t lift anything that puts a strain on your back or feels on the heavy side and take a warm bath to ease the pain a little. If the pain really bothers you, mention it to your doctor at your next appointment, they’ll be able to recommend what’s best to treat it.
Yes i am now 18 weeks, however i have had an emergency scan due to severe pains, but all was proven ok, i had them first just like a period cramp that was why i delayed a test thinking i was coming on however found out and iv had them everyday and still getting them now.
Its the stretching and your body getting use to pregnancy.
Dont be alarmed.
Its normal
i know i am a few weeks behind you, (i am 9weeks) but i was worried about little dull aches and pains in my lower tummy. i was told that it is completely normal and really nothing to worry about at all. it is your body making space for the growing baby. unless it is excruciating pain then i really don’t think you have to worry.
as for the back pains, i think they are part and parcel too. i am getting them a little but i have always had problems with my back so im going to have it really bad when i get further on…
ha ha hope i helped and try not to worry so much! x
