I am taking the knock off of Prozac called flouxitine and am having abdominal pain?
Is this because of the medication? I have only been on it four days. It hapened today and two days ago. It feels like my abdomin is tying to Burst out of me.
talk to your doctor who prescribed you the medication and ask him if it could be a side effect. he may then either adjust or change your medication. good luck
This happened to both my mom and me. I had been on Prozac for years which worked wonderfully for me, no side effects at all. My insurance company made me switch to the generic when it came out and I had horrible pains more in my chest and also in my stomach. It felt like I was having a heart attack, I actually got scared because the symptoms were so severe. I took some Alka Seltzer which made me feel so much better. I also made my doctor switch me to another antidepressant. Such a weird side effect from basically the same medication. I wonder why it’s acting like this? My mom had the exact same symptoms I did and had to switch also.
