Can diabetes cause mild abdominal pain and medium/bad nausea?
-Can diabetes cause mild abdominal pain and medium/bad nausea?
-Can I have diabetes if I’m 14, NOT overweight, and it does NOT run in my family?
Thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it, but I’m not pregnant, I’m a virgin.
yes those can be symptoms of Diabetes mellitus, or a ton of other things….including flu and gastritis.
yes you can have diabetes even if your thin and young.
Diabetes does seem to have a genetic predisposition, but hardly guarentees anyone from getting it.
Probably not…
It sounds like you are pregnant to me.
First of all have you been diagnosed with diabetes. If the answer is yes. Then, yes it could be diabetes. your blood sugar may be low. Eat a pack of crackers. If you have not been diagnosed with diabetes it could be just a virus.
you really should get diagnose for diabetes by a doctor . this will be done with a bloodtest .
If you should have diabetes type 1 then your doctor will pescribe Insulin . If you have type 2 maybe a simple diet will work to get it in balance or maybe medication , which is the case for me.
It’s possible. It’s also possible that you could have diabetes if you’re not overweight and it doesn’t run in your family. Diabetes is caused by an imbalance of your insulin system, I would check with your pediatrician next time you go and ask him. If you’re worried about it, ask your mom if you can schedule an appointment with the doctor.
you should talk to your GP, diabetes does not have to be hereditary.
those symptoms could be linked to many conditions.
First, why do you think you have diabetes?
Do you have more than one symptom?
Fatigue: In diabetes, the body is inefficient and sometimes unable to use glucose for fuel. The body switches over to metabolizing fat, partially or completely, as a fuel source. This process requires the body to use more energy. The end result is feeling fatigued or constantly tired.
Unexplained weight loss: People with diabetes are unable to process many of the calories in the foods they eat. Thus, they may lose weight even though they eat an apparently appropriate or even excessive amount of food. Losing sugar and water in the urine and the accompanying dehydration also contributes to weight loss.
Excessive thirst, excessive urination, excessive hunger,
poor wound healing and blurry vision are some of the symptoms associated with diabetes (either type).
When you have diabetes and get sick (from the flu, for example) or your body is under stress, then it will react by causing ketoacidosis, which then causes nausea and abdomen discomfort. More often than not, a peculiar smell can be felt coming from the diabetic patient’s mouth, like the smell of nail polish remover or acetone.
If you do have more than one symptom, go have your blood sugar levels checked, if not, go to the doctor anyways, since kidney infections and gastritis, GERD or ulcers can cause nausea and stomach ache.
Stomach pain and nausea in a diabetic can be caused by Diabetic Ketoacidosis. This happens when your blood sugar becomes extremely high. If you have not been diagnosed with diabetes, however, it is more likely you have a stomach bug or ate something bad.
These are not among the symptoms that normally come with diabetes.
Good for you that you are a virgin. Keep it that way until you get married. You will be the better for it!
The symptoms you have are worth a trip to the doctor if they continue. (they are ones you can get with the ‘flu and if you have them still after a few days, it is worthwhile to go to the doctor and have it seen to.)
