Matt Tilley rings up as old man Cecil regarding a Colonoscopy he is going to be getting. How many times can he make the woman on the other end say the word “bottom”? PLEASE NOTE: I in no way own these gotcha calls, all credit goes to Matt himself
I just wanted to upload these so everyone else who either doesn’t listen to the radio or doesn’t download podcasts can listen to these on the internet.

Pulley – Stomach Aches (live at the Skatelab Nov 10th 2007)
Professor Ph.D. (1986) University of Alberta Michael Smith Laboratories Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Microbiology & Immunology The human body routinely encounters many threatening infectious agents, including Salmonella and pathogenic E. coli. Most Salmonella and E. coli infections arise from oral ingestion of tainted food or water and are a significant cause of disease and death in animals and humans worldwide. Salmonella bacteria cause typhoid fever, a frequently fatal infectious condition that is common in the developing world. It also causes gastroenteritis, a type of food poisoning characterized by abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Salmonella species are close relatives of E. coli, which cause numerous diseases including meningitis, urinary tract infections diarrhea and fatal kidney disease. The bacteria infect and interfere with normal function of cells in the stomach and intestine to cause disease. However, the molecular mechanism of how these pathogens adhere, enter, survive, replicate, and exit host cells is not well defined. Although attacks from infectious agents are common, extremely few actually lead to infection. The body possesses a very powerful and efficient set of conserved mechanisms that deal rapidly with nearly all microbial infectious agents. This system, called “innate immunity”, is the primary defence mechanism of most multicellular organisms. To cause an infection, a successful pathogen must overcome innate immunity. Research in …
Right, I’m a 25 year old guy and for as long as I can remember have suffered from low moods and anxiety every day. I used to be able to get some joy and have a few hopeful thoughts (not much though), but now I just seem to have the inability to ever be happy. This probably stems back from my childhood in which living with my step mum proved difficult (my mum died too) and also experienced bullying at school. But over time other problems developed which certainly did not help things- I have been diagnosed with social anxiety disorder, irritable bowel syndrome and rhinitis (to do with nasal congestion). I feel fatigued all the time and wake up feeling terrible like I haven’t slept. My concentration is poor, can only seem to focus on simple tasks. I have sharp pain in my upper back at times. I experience isolation a lot, even in crowded places. Basically every area of my life seems to be affected! The worst I think being my love life- I have no confidence with women. And despite getting a lot of looks and for most of my life being told I have it all going for me and am handsome, I still think I am a piece of crap, and women would just reject me for say being a nice guy or something. I’m not vain and I admit I am good looking, but I am just screwed up in many ways and feel like a complete weirdo all the time! I am a lost soul and just want to find something!
I need help, fast. I feel like i’m so old and soon it will be too late. For the social anxiety, I have had cognitive behavioural therapy which didn’t help really- it seems that for me changing my constant negative thoughts is near impossible! What should I do now, any ideas guys!? Maybe I should see a doctor, but wouldn’t want to go down the anti depressant route as in the past a certain drug messed me up.

This is my little Alexander, age 6. History of GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) since birth. He has a G-tube. He recently developed a problem, after feeding either through G-tube or by mouth, he experiences extreme abdominal pain it doesn’t seem to matter if you are touching his abdomen or not. His stomach becomes hard and distended, he then sometimes throws up. This pain which is severe enough to make him scream, sometimes positioning himself on his hands and knees panting, typically will last about 10 minutes. The pain does not disappear gradually, it disappears within seconds. The next phase is dizziness, sometimes fainting which he only loses conscientious for seconds. Please take not that this phase occurs regardless if he has vomited or not. Next he becomes pale, slurring words, and confused, which within moments turns into being completely altered, not knowing how old he is, where he is, or what it is going on around him. At first not being able to identify people…such as mommy, within few minutes he is then able to recognize mommy, but still remains altered in all other senses. He is still very dizzy and disoriented during this, unable to walk, stand or even sit up on his own. He remains altered until he falls asleep, which usually occurs between 5-15 minutes after the onset of confusion. When he wakes up, which can be anywhere from 20 minutes later to the next morning, he is back to normal, with no pain, dizziness or confusion. These “episodes” do not …
