for the past month or so, i have been have abdominal pain in my upper left side. it is a constant aching pain but, through out the day i go through times where the pain is strong enough to take my breath away. Recently i have noticed that my left leg is swollen and when i press down on it, it leaves a dent in my leg that after about 30 sec. goes away. i have been tested for everything, mono, liver, pancreaitus,i have had an endoscopy,CT w/contrast, an ultrasound, x-rays etc. i am now waiting for a GI to call me. i was wondering should i wait or just go to the ER?

And if so, does it ever go away or do I have to switch the formula again? My daughter is eating the new formula i gave her with no problem she is just having some painful gas and constipation….

Thank you

I always get cramps whenever i run. Like i have a week before a big 5 mile race and i was wondering if yall no any ways that i could prevent cramps?

There gonna do they EGD first then the colonoscopy tomorrow, and I was wondering about the anesthesia. What kind will they use? (local, regional, or general)

For four years I have been dealing with intense right upper abdominal pain. And when I say intense, I mean I can’t hold a job because this pain is so incapacitating. It’s right at my waist to about two inches above, 5-8 inches in diameter, spanning across my side. Sometimes it’s worse in the front, sometimes in the back. Obviously I’ve seen a doctor for it over this period of time. I’m not constipated. I don’t have gall stones. My gall bladder is functioning at 91%. My liver is fine. My appendix is fine. Everything looks fine on an ultrasound. Everything looks fine on a CT scan, liver, kidneys, gall bladder, everything. If it weren’t for the fact that I’m in constant, furious pain I’d be in perfect health. Recently I had an endoscopy, and I was told that my upper esophogeal sphincter doesn’t work properly, so I’m on Nexium, Reglan, and an anti-depressant for “pain regulation.” Well, it’s not helping. I’m still in pain, and no one can tell me why. Any ideas?
Oh, and I was a vegetarian for 6 years, my diet hasn’t affected the pain, though I haven’t tried gluten free or anything like that.
I’ve been praying for years for a solution to this pain, and have been devout in following the commandments set out by my religion with the hopes that my faith and devotion would move God to help me out. Well, I’m still in pain. So I’ll be focusing on the medical side of things. Thanks anyway.

i have a low groin hernia that is pretty bad and i am getting surgery on it soon. Lately i have had really hard bowel movements in the shape of balls or circles , and they are really painful i have never had a problem in my life with this and have a ton of fiber in my diet. Could the hernia be causing this problem?
