im 18 yr old male…I have to have a colonoscopy done next week bc all the way from my esophagus to my rectum is inflamed…the docter said i may have Chrones disease( i think thats it) he said i would not feel a thing and they would give me valium…im really dreading this bc i dont want anything near my butt at all…or in it…will it hurt? or will i feel it ?

I recently adopted my first puppy, a feisty male Boston terrier. He is 12 weeks old now and this morning when I took him out for his usual 6:00 am elimination, it came out as diarrhea. I looked in a couple of dog books I have and they didn’t really give me a clear indication of what to do. About half an hour later, puppy had an accident on the kitchen floor (I should have known he wanted to go out but didn’t catch the signals) which was also diarrhea. I have been looking at differnet website for an answer as to what I should do and have found different opinions. Some say to have the puppy fast from food and water for 12 hours. Others say to take him to the vet immediately. Our vet doesn’t open for a few more hours and I’m wondering what I should do between now and when I ask the vet what to do. One thing I have found is that I must do something about this before he becomes dehydrated. You’re looking at one worried mama! Oh, and he is just as energetic as usual.
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone for their answers. I came home from work to check on the puppy around 2:30. He finally went and still had diarrhea, so I called our vet. She said that 95% of their calls today have been about puppies with diarrhea. The cause? A recent heatwave! It’s been around 100 degrees for the past few days, including today. Even though my puppy is an indoor dog (we just go out for the bathroom and to go for walks) just the short amount of time in the heat (and humidity) has caused him to be sick. I was told to take away his water until dinner time; I should give it back at dinner along with 1/3 of his usual amount of kibble. I’m supposed to give him just a little snack before bed. She said if he becomes lathargic and if it continues to call them again. I also got an emergency number in case he gets worse after they close or over the weekend.
Oh, I forgot the other detail. She said that he shouldn’t have parvo since he’s had two sets of his shots already. (He’s due for his booster a week from tomorrow.)
It is now 11:00 pm and the puppy is back to normal! I fed him his dinner around 6:30, and then a snack around 9:30. We went outside to potty around 10:00 and everything seems to be back to normal.

I have been having really bad constant stomach rumbling for 2 months and its when im not even hungry. I have had a little diarrhea and I’ve been burping and have gas a lot. Is this a medical problem?
I have been under alot of stress but i am calming down from it now.

I am 43, female. The last few months I have been suffering from pain under my left rib cage and breast along with extreme bloating, which worsens after eating. I am miserable, any suggestions?

All of a sudden there was pain in my lower abdominal area. It almost feels like cramps and is in that area to where it could be if I were far from getting my period. It’s really sensitive to the touch, What is this, what should I do other than OBVIOUSLY going to the doctor, which I’ll do in due time.

its not really bad diarrhea, its jus the stools are very watery and light, and its not a big burp but one of the small ones you get from time to time. It smells like rotten eggs to me at least it does. i was told it can be indigestion.

I know the cost may vary from vet to vet but I was wondering what a ballpark figure would be?

today i got this really bad abdominal pain..it felt like i got my period but really i didnt and i had this dull pain in my head…what does that mean?..i had this type of pain in my stomach before usully when i catch a cold or my feet are cold for a long time then afterwards i would have abdominal pain

I’ve seen in a lot of sites that when you go to Cancun, you get diarrhea because the water is not clean, or something. My dad went there with his family when he was a teen (in the 70′s) and he said that he got diarrhea, as well as his sister. Is it still safe to go there and not get diarrhea?

I am scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow and have been preparing all day. I have had 3 oz. of phospho-soda and 2 laxatives. Now I think I have developed a hemmoroid. Is this common and how does it go away. Will it affect the colonoscopy? I will discuss it with my doctor tomorrow but in the meantime wonder if anyone else has experienced the same thing?
