Yesterday, I had diarrhea. I normally give up dairy products, but then I drank 2 glasses of milk after that anyway. Then, this morning I had a glass of milk and a bowl of cereal milk drink. I had diarrhea again. I took some medicine and it stopped. Well, aside, from a yogurt drink,I didn’t take dairy products after. When can I start drinking dairy products again?

Say you are on a diet and trying to lose weight, does IBS make you lose more or less, or is it irrelevant? Thanks!
Someone please help me =*(
I am a 22 year old female (I will be 23 in April) and on January 7th I started having extremely bad abdominal/pelvic pain. I was getting ready for work and walked in the kitchen when all of a sudden the pain hit. It felt like someone stabbed me in the stomach. I would say it felt like regular menstrual cramps, but #1 I was already off my period for a day or two (it started around the 2nd) and #2 it was WAY worse than regular cramps. I hit the floor and could hardly breathe or move for about 25 minutes and was crying hysterically. My boyfriend insisted on taking me to the ER so about an hour later I was in the ER and they gave me a morphine IV. Did a Cat Scan that just showed "fluid in the pelvis" and said I probably have a ruptured ovarian cyst. They prescribed me to Cipro (antibiotic) and Lortab (pain med) and Phenergan (nausea) and sent me home. On the 10th I was back in the ER because I was hurting so bad again and they did a transvaginal ultrasound and a regular one and all it showed was "follicles" on my ovaries. Pretty much normal, but the doctor pressed on me in the area of my ovaries and it hurt so bad!! He gave me a prescription for Percocet (stronger pain med) and sent me home. Said there was really nothing much they could do and for me to follow up with my obgyn.
So this past Monday, the 18th, I went to my gyno and they looked at records from the hospitals tests and did another transvaginal US of their own and said I had a cyst on my left ovary, but it looked normal. She prescribed me to Flagyl and Anaprox (antibiotic and anti-inflammatory) and gave me a referral sheet to go and see a G.I. doctor if I didn’t get better. Well, yesterday I was in excruiating pain again like the first day it happened, which yesterday would have been exactly two weeks earlier, so I called and made an appt with the G.I. Well, I went to the G.I. this morning and he pressed around, and did a rectal exam, looked at previous test results and said he didn’t think it was anything G.I. related, but still prescribed me a med for a spastic colon or something – (he must be crazy if he thinks im getting that filled! he said nothing was wrong with me G.I. related yet he still prescribed me medicine – a little weird) but anyways, I told all of these doctors, even in the ER, that when my mother was my age she had endometriosis and I’m wondering if I have it, but no one seems to care when I mention it. Cancer runs in my family really bad, and I know it’s my ovaries that are hurting (it feels like someone is squeezing them, only one side hurts at a time though, so hard that they are going to explode) and I’ve been doing some reading on ovarian cancer – even though I don’t think it’s that – but I have no idea what is wrong with me! I am in soooooo much pain I can’t even describe it. Since it’s two weeks later and I’m still hurting they don’t really think it’s a ruptured cyst anymore, but no one can give me an answer.
I am scheduled to go see an internist on Monday morning, and I think they are going to run a bunch of tests on me. Other doctors tested my blood and urine already and found nothing, and I’m not pregnant. Don’t even have children.
Has anyone ever heard of something like this? Please I need help sooooo bad. I am in so much pain =*(
I had a colonoscopy 5 days ago and have not had a bm since. I am wondering if this is normal. I called my nurse and she didn’t seem concerned (I’m not sure she understood how long it has been). I’ve read that anything over 4 days means there may be a blockage.
I’m currently taking Bentyl 20mg. 4 times a day, but when I stop it comes back with vengeance. The reason I stop because I feel better, but isn’t a lot of pills to take….
Could swimming in the sea and drinking some sea water while swimming and snorkling cause diarrhea? I had severe diarrhea for a day, could that be the cause?
Anyone out there get diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) after having their gallbladder out? I never had this problem before but ever since surgery I am the classic IBS patient.
Is it possible to suffer from abdominal pain after you pass a kidney stone?
Abdominal bloating. This is a womanly question for a friend of mine.
